Freelance Services FAQ
Over time, I get asked questions that I’m pleased to respond to individually, but I feel the answers would serve prospective clients like you better if I published them.
This page includes all the answers to those questions.
Can’t find yours? Get in touch.
What do you charge for {insert service name here}?
Please contact me to request my fee schedule.
Note: The art commission rates I publish on DeviantART are specific to artistic services only (i.e. illustrations of fiction projects, short comics based on a story, etc.) and may differ from the rate list for business illustrations.
But your rate is too high for me!
If you are a startup or a charity, you get a 15% off through the first contract year.
If you are not a startup or a charity but you work with a small budget, feel free to contact me for a custom quote. I can’t guarantee I’ll take up your project, but I promise to give it a chance.
What if I don’t have a clear idea of what I want/need?
Look inside of yourself… or at your business plan — there lies the answer. 🙂
But I also made a checklist for you to find out what you need and where to look for it on this site. (I will upload the checklist by the end of March 2020; until then, contact me via email)
How can I try out your services for free?
From time to time, I offer limited slots to try out my services.
Follow my blog and my Twitter account to get notified of limited-supply free or discounted services.
What if I have a problem with your service?
Let’s talk it out and see how we can resolve it. 🙂
Freelancers are no magicians, and as humans we all make mistakes.
However, a good freelancer tries to make amends, so get in touch and we’ll discuss it together.
What payment methods do you accept?
I normally invoice clients internationally via my Invoicely account and I accept PayPal and bank transfers via Stripe.
Only under exceptional circumstances (e.g. PayPal not available in the client’s country) I will accept Skrill or TransferWire payments.
